We invite you to another in our series of Artist talks, this week, local artists featured in the Chapel Allerton Arts Trail will be sharing their stories and offering us an insight into their creative practices and thoughts.
This week come and meet:
Nick Claiden
Nick Claiden’s glass sculptures use traditional techniques of stained glass; painting, etching and engraving with a new twist in that they incorporate fused glass and are set in hard wood and concrete bases.
Her work is strongly narrative, juxtaposing people, their body language and the environment through which they move.
Helen Dryden
Helen is a visual artist who paints, draws and takes photographs. Her work is often garishly coloured. Abstract shapes or images from her subconscious mixed with figures from found photos. These three paintings are from a series which looks at the legendary rave culture of early 90’s Britain.
