Genera 2015

The Gott Bequest and Light Night

The Genera Project is a series of workshops leading up to the Light Night festival on October 9th 2015. Within each workshop Inkwell artists and the community are responding to the Gott Bequest, a special collection of approximately 500 beautiful botanical and gardening books housed in Leeds central Library.

You can find out more about Beryl Gott and the Gott Bequest here

The series of workshops and excursions happening over July, August and September are led by selected artists and practitioners from across Leeds and will allow everyone to get involved with the process of exploring the possibilities for the Genera Installation that will be created for Light Night through various mediums and practices such as drawings, painting, digital media and sculpture.

The Genera Project is supported by Leeds Inspired, part of Leeds City Council
