The Jazz Cafe on Sundays at Inkwell is certainly pulling in a good crowd, no wonder really as the acts performing are all top notch!
Our cafe serves simple but tasty hot snacks, homemade cakes and fresh coffee and teas while the audience sit back and enjoy great music in our relaxed spacious main gallery space. We would really like to thank all our wonderful volunteers for their help with making the food and running the bar, and of course Seven Jazz who organise the musicians and event.
Last month we saw The Eirik Svela Trio play their fantastic live set. Eirik Svela has graced the Leeds jazz scene with his elegant and enthusiastic guitar playing for the last five years now, most recently at Seven Jazz with Katie Patterson’s “Allsorts”. The “new shoots” gig at Inkwell was the last chance to catch up with him before he disappeared back to his native Norway.
(Eirik Berg Svela guitar, Simon Read bass, John Arnesen drums.)
Here is a short you tube clip of their performance at Inkwell…..
